“Marriage
is a great institution.” – Elizabeth Taylor
Up until October 16th, 2011,
which will officially be known (to me, at least) as my anniversary, it would
have been tough to pin point the exact best day of my life. After marrying my
love this past Sunday, I can now undoubtedly say that was THE greatest
accomplishment of mine to date.
It's been almost one week and the ear-to-ear smile upon my face has still
yet to subside. I am beyond ecstatic! The wedding day was pure perfection, and
to say we were thrilled with everything would be the understatement of the
century.
After the many months of planning and mulling
over every last detail, our vision came to life, and we could not have done it
without the help of our wonderful planner, Azar, of Principal Planner – Azar Jazestani Events. From recommending the best vendors the city has to offer, to creating a
spectacular sweet table, Azar turned our dreams into a reality.
The intimate ceremony and reception took place at L’Auberge Saint Gabriel, the oldest inn in North America, located in the Old Port of Montreal. The venue was the basis of inspiration behind a running theme of vintage Parisian chic combined with seasonal rustic elegance. The floral arrangements of hydrangeas, anemones, burgundy dahlias and vintage caramel roses flowing over silver julep cups were provided by the unbelievably talented Paul of Fleurs des Jardins. Flowers draped the birch chuppah, supplied by The Canopy Company, in the ceremony room illuminated by hundreds of white pillar candles.

The fantastic string duo from Cadenza Strings played contemporary tunes turned classic for the walk down the aisle
and throughout cocktails, followed by the amazing DJ YO-C, who ensured our
dance floor was never bare.
Our phenomenal photographer Marlon of MK Foto was there to capture every moment of the celebration, and made sure all of our guests struck a pose in the photo booth! We're just bursting in anticipation for the photos that were taken of the happy couple (that being me and my HUSBAND...wow!).
And they lived happily ever after...The End!
Sincerely,
S
