Bling in the New Year

The holiday season comes to a close with the much anticipated New Year's Eve! On December 31st, we'll pop champagne, toast to memories of the past year (so many good ones!) and cheers to the fabulous 2012 ahead!

NYE also acts as another excuse to get all dolled up (like we really need one, anyways)! Your frock of choice will depend on the evening's plan and destination, but nevertheless, a little sparkle to mark the year's end is always fabulous.

Celebrate in style when that clock strikes twelve by sporting these gorgeously glamorous gems.

Tis the Season

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen." - Author Unknown

The Christmas season is a time unlike any other.  People seem to be friendlier, more optimistic, and generally upbeat.  While New Years Eve is a time for popping champagne, we think Christmas is an ideal time for popping the big question.  Families will be gathered together and it would definitely go down as a Christmas to remember.

We have thought of a few creative ways to ask for your girl’s hand in marriage, and hopefully we will hear some good news for lucky ladies over the holidays.

1. Wrap the ring in a giant present box.  Whether it’s on Christmas morning with your family or just the two of you on Christmas Eve, have her open a large box with the tiny ring box inside.  With a present like that, she’ll surely say yes!

2. Write “will you marry me?” in lights!

3. Leave a note for her at the dinner table.  If subtlety is your thing, then leave a carefully written note by her seat at the table and have her speechless when she reads the words on it.  Of course, you should also be prepared with a ring.

Love this!!
4. Ask her to marry you while ice skating.  Hopefully she won’t lose her balance J

5. Give her a book with the ring hidden inside.  Perfect for any book lover.

6.  Hang an ornament on the tree that asks the question for you.

7.  Leave her a surprise around the house with the ring!

Here's hoping all the lovely ladies get the gifts they're wishing for.  Merry Christmas everyone!!

Until next time,

Giving Thanks

“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.”  - Oscar Wilde

Sending out a note to say thanks after a wedding, bridal shower, or any event hosted in your honor, is the most proper gesture. Your guests will feel good knowing their presence was (and presents were) appreciated. It’s best to send out your thank you cards ASAP post-event; for one, it’s nice to get this often time consuming task out of the way, and secondly, it’s important that guests are thanked in a timely manner. If you received a gift from someone in June, it’s hardly appropriate to send your regards when the leaves have begun to change.

Thank You cards traditionally match the motif of the initial invitation, but these days couples are getting creative with the use of wedding photos, post card styles and artistic signage.

In honor of Thanksgiving, and of course all things Etsy, we’d like to share with you some of our favorite ways of giving thanks:
